No apple bottom jeans for me

June 27, 2009 Euis 2 comments

Spent last afternoon with my aunts and two cousins. After lunch at one of my aunt’s home, I was left to look after my two younger cousins at the Civil Service Centre while my aunts went to the nearby shopping mall. I accompanied Kai and Jett, my two cousins, at the pool. I was mostly with Jett because he’s younger.

At the end of the day, I got slightly sun burnt, a laceration and a bruise on my knees and aching muscles. It was worth it though, because I got to spend time with my adorable cousins. And Aunty Judy, the mother of Kai and Jett, gave me a bunch of make up and bought a vest for me. My other aunt bought me dinner at a French cafe and a blouse and jeans.

I love the jeans because they’re not the idiotic type with the stupid faded bits around the thigh. It’s solid dark blue. Now I can have long legs too.

In any case, I was walking down a street last night when I heard the starting of Buttons by PCD. So I was like “Hey, where’s that coming from?” Lo and behold, three trishaws cycled by on the road in front of me. The tourists riding them seemed pretty amused. I was amused too, it brought back fond memories of a Chinese trishawman, a dorky German, a hunky Aussie and the songs Low by Flo Rida and Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston.

Crap, I forgot to bring home that bottle of vitamin C!

“I’m not impressed by your perverted mouth breathing”

Transformers was pretty amazing. My heart started beating three times faster than usual whilst watching the movie, that’s got to say something right?

Anyway, the whole cinema was packed with people. Nearly every single seat was taken. Honestly though, if I were one of the people sitting really close to the screens, I’d just wait for another day to watch the film or for the DVD release. Why spend $7.50 and strain your neck? I reckon those dudes out front spent a lot of time looking at the legs of the Autobots and Decepticons.

I don’t want to be a spoiler, so bits and pieces about the movie will be hidden. Click at your own risk.

I can’t speak French

June 24, 2009 Euis 4 comments

Which is why I’m learning it!

Ok, not exactly. Mum and I went out today and we bought a French phrasebook. She said it’d be “useful”. In addition to that was a purchase of a German phrasebook.  She found out what “yes” in German was and when I said to her “ya, ya” a while ago, she was all “Ahaha, you’re so German.” and I’m like “I’ve been saying “ya” since I was a kid!”

Anyway, I’m thinking if I stop going to school and seriously start learning French, German and Spanish [I got a Spanish phrasebook a few years back] for a year or so, I’d probably be able to converse pretty well in those languages and be an alright translator.

No one has that sort of time though. I’ll just have to stick to English, Biology, Chemistry, Geography and that sort of things.

In any case, I’m watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen tomorrow…WHOO!!

My mum just asked if I have any towels that need to be washed. I said no and she said “No, you must reply in German. Nein!” How would I know she wanted me to reply in German? She should’ve asked if I had any towels that need to be washed in German then. Next time when she asks me a question, I’m going to reply in every language I know.

Until then, Guten Tag. [The German phrasebook capitalised the "G" and the "T" so I'm capitalising it too.]

U-never-study [Part 2]

June 22, 2009 Euis 1 comment

Today we have a special guest appearance from our favourite blonde living in Riverblossom Hills, Helga Protter. *applause*

Of course the main focus is on Caspian and Caspiana and Alvy and Alys. Nothing on their parents though; they’re still busy ~celebrating~. Depending on how clean or dirty your mind is, the definition of ~celebrating~ varies.

Teaser, hahaha.

You call this studying?!

Aw!!!

This is the most adorable banner I’ve ever seen! I WANT IT. If it were on sale, I’d totally buy it. Then, when the Singapore GP comes around, I’d go down to Marina Bay, with two friends cause I can’t carry that alone, and wave it in everyone’s faces.

In addition to this adorable banner.

Here’s this year’s Silverstone race winner singing. In Finnish!

Aww, I might just pass out from too much cute.
