Chlorine doesn’t look pale green to me

This week was a pretty good week! Apart from being stressed and absolutely worried about that Chemistry test yesterday, it was all pretty great.

I just came back from swimming with Elly actually and I reek of chlorine. I’ve already had a shower but I still reek of chlorine! My eyes are now pretty sore and vision’s kinda blurry because I didn’t wear goggles when I swam, ahaha. There’s water in my ears too, haha.

In any case, I went to Ngee Ann Polytechnic yesterday. I followed the Media and Humanities track while Ika followed the Health and Life Science track. It was pretty fun. All the NP ambassadors were friendly and amicable.

We watched a couple of performances by the school’s percussion band, Baracuda Batucada, their cheerleading squad, Magnum Force [this reminds me of ice cream], and their dance troupe whose name I can’t recall. Shame on me. In any case, the performances were all amazing and I was simply awed by their talents.

I engaged in a few activities at the School of Film and Media studies and the School of Humanities. It was pretty great. I had a chance to interact with some students from different secondary schools and I won a voucher for one of the activities, so win-win.

After all that, I went to the Convention Centre to meet Ika. I managed to meet Alyssa outside the Convention Centre. We had a very quick catch-up session before she went off for her French class.

Back at the Convention Centre, I spoke to a few of the NP ambassadors. Well, they actually came up to me because I was standing around like a fool. Anyway, one of them was studying International Business, the other Biomedical Science or something along those lines, I can’t remember, and the other one Banking and Financial Services. I’m pretty sure he’s studying that anyway, I remember hearing him say “financial”.

Anyway, we went on to the topic about Direct Poly Admission [DPA] and he told me he came from DPA. He pretty much told me his story when he applied through DPA. He also said not to give up hope if I don’t get accepted and I should try other ways of applying.

In any case, I’m much more motivated thanks to him and I’m definitely going to try out DPA.
