And they longed to be free one day
First and foremost, happy 44th birthday Singapore!
August has been ok, so far. I’ve been sitting for a couple of pre-prelim exams [What bullcrap is this?] and counting down the days to my brithday with Azy. I share the same birthday with him and he’s been reminding me the number of days we turn 17. We don’t actually know why we’re so excited but…yeah.
My aunt called me up yesterday. She spoke to me about the things I should do after O Levels or something. She was all “You don’t go working at fast food restaurants and things like that ok?” Then she said if I wanted to work, I should go to one of my uncles cause he owns an art gallery and he could probably give me some clerical work. After I hung up, I thought about my future for a while. I’m turning 20 in three years, and by then my brother will by 30 and my other brother will be 26. My parents will be super old when I’m 20. So old that I can’t mention their age here.
I kinda want to be Paula Malai Ali’s personal assistant at 20 before moving on to bigger things. From what I’ve seen on television and read online, I think Paula’s a fantastic character and I’d very much like to work with her. I don’t know if I’d be a good PA though.
Anyway, a couple of days ago, I realised that September will be coming in a couple of weeks. And that means the Singapore GP will take place in about a month. I won’t be going down to the circuit to watch the race or stalk the drivers as I’ll be busy studying for my O levels [Sure, studying] but for sure the air in Singapore will feel different. They’ve already got advertisements for the Singapore GP on the yellow taxis with that tagline “Nothing Else Comes Close” so I won’t be surprised if they put out the advertisements by mid-August.
Oh yeah, that also means Michael Schumacher will be coming to Singapore. He’s not my hero or anything but it’ll be cool to have him walking around the streets of Singapore and sweating all over the place. That’s what I like about the Singapore GP; all the drivers will be sweaty and they’d all be complaining about how hot Singapore is. My advice to them is to wear less clothes. Walk around topless, no one will mind.
While we’re talking about sports, the 09/10 English/Barclays [some use English, some use Barclays] Premier League is going to start soon. So will the Champions League. Starhub doesn’t have the right to broadcast Champions League matches so I’ll be following that through newspapers and the internet. I’m rather afraid about the football season. Arsenal just lost to Valencia last night and eeep, I’m scared.

So that's where you said what!
