We interrupt this programme

TO ANNOUNCE THAT I AM NO LONGER GOING TO STUDY MATHEMATICS.

EVER!

That is all.

Well, except for one more thing: This week’s F1 race will be the last for this season and I’m pretty sad about it.

In any case, go RBR. You too, Ferrari. I’m going to miss seeing you in red, Kimi.

Before I go, have you guys heard about the mantyhose? It’s basically pantyhose for dudes. I heard about it on the radio a couple of weeks ago and oh God, I think it’s so ridiculous. I swear, if I see a guy wearing mantyhose, I will stop in my tracks, point directly at him, laugh, continue pointing, laugh some more and then say “DUDE. WHY ARE YOU WEARING PANTYHOSE?” I’m all for guys wearing eyeliner, or guyliner, putting on body lotion and stuff but mantyhose is over the line.

Keep it real everyone.

Today was definitely one of the best days this year. As we were celebrating Teachers’ Day and Be Yourself Day, we were allowed to wear whatever we wanted to school. However, those who chose to participate in Be Yourself Day had to pay a fee of $2. The money would then be donated to the President’s Challenge, which is basically a bunch of events that benefits a number of charities.

My class decided on a theme for Be Yourself Day. We were all to be dressed like people from the 60’s and 70’s. Granted, it’s not really ourselves but the way we dressed today more or less reflected on our character. A bunch of girls from my class, including myself, took the theme seriously and dressed up like hippies from the 70’s; headbands, flowers in the hair, loose clothes and all. The rest of the class weren’t really dressed according to the theme but it was ok.

During the concert, I gave out packets of cookies to about 16 teachers as a Teachers’ Day gift. After school ended, Ika and Syae  followed me to Alexander Hospital for my dental appointment. My braces are now tight and I have green and purple bands.

We broke our fast at Long John Silver. It was quite quiet at the beginning because we were so famished. After a while, Ika started giving scenarios to Syae and I. The scenarios were quite interesting, to say the least, ahahaha.

The three of us went to Syae’s apartment block for a moment afterwards. Syae returned Ika’s art materials and whatnot to her and went back to her home. A bunch of our guy schoolmates were hanging around at the area near Syae’s apartment block so we joined them for some small talk and photo-taking. At 8:30 PM, we left the vicinity.

That’s all the fun for now. Till then, I’ll be cramming information needed for my preliminary examination into my brain.

“But I would just stand and stare”

SUPER OLD news but Nelson Piquet Jr got sacked! =O

I found out on Tuesday afternoon and phwoar, what a shock! Ok, so it wasn’t THAT shocking, I was kinda expecting him to get the cut one of these days but I didn’t think it’d be now! I figured it’d be at the end of the season or something. I was kinda hoping he’d survive and move on to another team though.

First it was Sebastien Bourdais and now, Nelson Piquet Jr. How upsetting. Bye-bye, Nelson. I hope to see you in an F1 car, for another team obviously, soon.

In any case, I wonder who’s going to take over his seat in Renault. It’ll probably be Romain Grosjean. I just did a search for Romain Grosjean’s pictures. He’s really skinny. What is it with all these new drivers being really lanky?

Anyway, happy days for me and other Singaporeans out there! Singapore celebrates her 44th independence day this Sunday. That automatically means Monday is a public holiday! Whoo! More happy news because I finish school a couple of hours before noon tomorrow!

I am hampered down with plenty of homework on the happy occassion though. Well, you win some, you lose some.

Extremely irrelevant to everything I’ve just said here, but I like the noise the Renault F1 website makes when I move my cursor to the website’s tabs.

Have an awesome night.

Pre-Prelims

August 2, 2009 Euis 1 comment

This upcoming week, I’ll be sitting for my pre-preliminary examination. Have you ever heard of this stupidity? I don’t understand why they just can’t call it our term three examinations or something. I guess they want us to feel more ~pressure~ or something. *eyeroll*

On happier news, I’ve uploaded the pictures from the Singapore – Liverpool match. I’m still brightening the dark pictures. I’ll post them after my pre-prelims which should be next week or next, next week. I’m quite sad that the pictures are rather blurry and one has to squint really hard to make out the players.

More happier news! Felipe is fine! So much so that when he woke up in the hospital after the surgery and whatnot, he had a squabble with his brother. He wanted to pull out the tubes and drips that he was hooked up on, and his brother, who’s just as adorable as Felipe, stopped him and they started to fight. Oh, you hot-headed Brazilians.

This was announced ages ago but with Felipe undergoing rehabilitation and whatnot, guess who’s going to take over his seat? Here’s some hints, he’s got brown hair, he’s German, he’s pretty fit for his age and his fashion sense is questionable. It’s Michael Schumacher! Whee! I’m so excited to see him race with the younger drivers.

The Emirates Cup started last night but I forgot to watch. Arsenal played against Atletico Madrid and won 2 to 1. Arshavin scored both goals. Did you know he’s a pretty good singer? He can go sing when he retires from football. Anyway, back to the Emirates Cup. Arsenal’s playing against Rangers tonight. I’ll watch it if someone isn’t watching something else on the telly.

The weather’s alright looking today. Have a good Sunday!

Ahaha, my mum wants me to peel potatoes. I told her no and she’s like “What? No? Eh-eh!”

ETA: I peeled the potatoes anyway.

I’m so excited!

And how can I not be excited?! I’m going to the Kallang Stadium with Amirah Amri to watch Liverpool FC train!!!

I’m not a Liverpool fan but I do have a soft spot for Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso and Daniel Agger so….*happy sigh*

Anyway, this will be my first time meeting Amirah Amri as well, so more excitement!

A lot of my classmates are down with flu and fever. When I mean a lot, I mean about 14 students! It was so bad, Mr Teo decided to cancel mathematics remedial. Only 26 out of 40 students in my class turned up for school today, so we didn’t study much.

Nothing else to say now. More soon!

PS: Jaime Alguersuari [Remember, it's Heimi Al-gay-shuari, not Jay-me Al-gue-suari] will be driving with Sebastien Buemi. Go Jaime. *waves flag*
